Products and Technologies that will be featured include:

AdBlue / DEF Containment Systems

The heart of the Shaw system is the Multifunction Head Unit (MFHU) which contains integrated level, temperature, and fluid quality (concentration) sensors. Freeze Protection is available with our integral heating system. By using ultrasonic sensing technology the level sensor eliminates the problems normally associated with mechanical designs. Outputs from all sensors are fully compatible with major dosing units available today in analog or CANBUS output.

Spill Safe Ground Level Filling Systems

Fill or refill any fluid storage vessel safely and accurately from ground level while preventing spillage and over-pressurization of the tank. Available with flow rates up to 240 GPM (900 LPM) and an integral positive shut off that prevents manual override. Designed to meet Directive 97/23/EC and does not pressurize tank

Fuel Containment and Transfer Systems

Shaw Development provides safe and reliable integrated Fuel Containment and Transfer System solutions engineered to meet your specific needs, and can easily be incorporated into the design and manufacture of a variety of vehicle types and specifications. Shaw supplies all portions of the system from fuel filling/service (cap and fill-port), the fuel tank as a whole, level and pressure sensors, lift-pumps, to filters/separators. Shaw can provide a complete range of fuel containment and transfer functionality.

Fluid Filtering Products

The Shaw Development Patent Pending DEF Fill Port Strainer, available from 100 to 160 micron filtration enables worry free gravity filling of DEF fluid from nozzles and containers.

The Shaw Development Patent Pending DEF in line filter system moves the service point from inside of the tank (DEF suction filter) to an easy-access location on the vehicle, providing the extra protection of debris free DEF fluids post tank and pre-pump.

DEF Head replacement filters available in multiple or custom sized from 100 to 40 microns.

Caps, Adapters, Strainers and Rubber Plugs

Lift and Turn caps available in composite or metallic configurations feature non rotating seals which last the life of the vehicle. Designed to be Rollover safe and meeting 70/221 EEC, Shaw Caps are leak tight during side slope and extreme vehicle operations.

Threaded fuel or hydraulic service caps provide Filtered Vacuum Breathing Elements, with a broad range of Micron Nominal Filters and are designed to provide rollover protection.

Rubber plugs are available from Snap and Turn Tite, Hex and Wing Nut to Micro size and Special Use and Custom Configurations.

Fluids Containment Engineering and Testing

Shaw Development employs a dedicated Engineering and Prototype Department for new product development, initial and ongoing technical support. The engineers are active committee members of the Society of Automotive Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Society of Plastics Engineers. Their expertise in these areas is the core of Shaw’s design, analysis, development, prototype, and production validation activities.

Shaw Development has an in-house test lab that includes six environmental chambers, and the capability to support flow, slosh, temperature/humidity cycling, pressure, and dust testing. The test lab’s capabilities include thermal testing from -40 to +200°F and fluid flow capacity to 150 GPM. Vibration and shock testing is available to meet the most stringent off-road profiles. Shaw’s experts can help design a robust test and validation program customized for your solution.
